My journey into design didn’t start in a studio — it started with real estate. In 2020, I read "The Multifamily Millionaire" by Brandon Turner, and it sent me down the rabbit hole of learning everything I could about real estate investing. Immersing myself in STR insights and BiggerPockets podcasts has become part of my daily routine.

In 2022, I completed my first BRRRR, and that’s when everything connected. I’ve always been drawn to creativity — reimagining spaces, envisioning what they could become, and drawing out their full potential — so it was no surprise that I thoroughly enjoyed handpicking every design element during rehab. But what truly stood out was the response - more than 50 applications within two days of the rent listing going live.

 

This experience made it clear that design isn’t just aesthetic — it's powerful. It drives demand. And I knew I wanted to design in short-term and mid-term rentals — where visibility and demand matter most, and creativity and strategy work hand in hand.

That’s exactly why I created Yellow Tulip Designs — a virtual interior design business for Airbnb/STR, and MTR hosts.
